Making homemade Taco Seasoning is easier than you’d think! I think the spices in this mixture should be staple in your spice cabinet, and buying them in the larger sizes is definitely more cost effective.
I make a large batch of this seasoning because I use it in so many of my recipes. If you know me, you know “Tacos are life”! I have a great Cauliflower Taco recipe that in a pinch, instead of the adobo chilies sauce I cover the cauliflower in, I just use this taco seasoning. Sprinkle over Shrimp and sauté for extremely quick and delicious tacos. Add it to Black Beans, I think you’d be surprised at how often you can use taco seasoning!
I put 2 recipes below, one for small batch, and one for large.

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp cumin powder
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
Equipment
- 8 (2) oz mason jar – for storing seasoning
Ingredients
- ½ cup chili powder
- ¼ cup cumin powder
- ¼ cup paprika
- 2 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp granulated garlic powder
- 2 tbsp granulated onion powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Combine and mix all ingredients. Store in an airtight container.Make tacos!
